GOD’S LAW HAS 613 COMMANDMENTS, IS IT IN VALID TODAY? Known by Israel as the Torah, God’s Law, contains 613 Commandments and ordinances, which have their foundation in the Ten Commandments. But the Master teaches us that they are contained in two greater: “…Master; which is the great commandment of the law? Jesus said to him: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36. Although the spirit of God’s Law is the know as the Law of Christ, in line with the foundation of the Law, as Jesus himself taught us and the apostle Paul mentions in one of his letters: “…Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2. The Law of God, the so called “ministry of condemnation” has two parts. One moral and one sacrificial. But we know by Christ, as High Priest, and as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, to all those who believe in Him and receive Him as saviour, that the sacrificial part is no longer valid, nor there is need of it, having Jesus been the perfect sacrifice of expiation once and for all. And we know that: “Therefore, having being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God… …There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was week through the flesh God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin; He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Romans 5:1-2 and 8:1-4. The moral part has many points that seem obsolete to our generation, but in their base, they are perfect, because they come from the immutability of God’s justice, together with His mercy and compassion on the Cross of Christ, for us. God did not do the Law to condemn us, so that we would see that He is perfect and we cannot justify ourselves through the works of the Law nor by good works, but admitting we are sinners, and that we may come to Him in search of His love and forgiveness, who grans us His grace. Christ gave His life to fulfil all God’s justice, which is granted to us through faith in His work on the cross of Calvary. Who believes in Him, has eternal life, John 3:16. THE 10 COMMANDMENTS, ARE THEY VALID TODAY? Do you remember the 10 Commandments, and do you know if they are the once God gave Moses, or if you have learned them modified by some traditional church? You can check them in any Bible in the books of Exodus, chapter 20, or in Deuteronomy, chapter 5. You will be surprised to know that Catholicism has eliminated the Second Commandment which prohibits to make images of God, of Jesus, of the saints or of virgins, and use those images or sculptures for worship. You can check it in your Bible, even in Catholic bibles they remain the same, though some will add comments to justify it, and why they have had to add or change the order so they can add up. The Jews continue to have the same in the Torah, like Christians in their bibles. Therefore, are the 10 Commandments of God’s Law valid today? The answer is given to us by the author of the Bible, the Holy Spirit who inspired and preserved it, through the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God incarnated, of John 1. Jesus answered to the elders of Israel: “…Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Matthew 5:17. The 10 Commandments are the moral base of God for us, and I think they are not so difficult to fulfil, and that, for every person of good faith, of any culture, if he studies them, will find them of great blessing for their life. The Fifth is the first with promise: “Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” You may read a complete Bible Study about the 10 Commandments, its blessings and promises at: https://www.yahshua.net/law.htm

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO PRAY AND PRAY ENOUGH? Prayer, from French preiere and before, from the Latin precaria to beg with need, but in the Vulgata was oratio, orationis, similar to the Greek rhetoric. The Old Testament uses tefillah mostly in Psalms. The New Testament uses the Greek words proseújomai and eujé Luke 11:1 or Acts 6:6. To pray, is, therefore, to talk with God. However, there is a difference between prayer and vain repetitions, as to pray is to have a conversation, or an augmented rhetoric, but to repeat is like reading, and that separates and bores, instead of intimating and sharing. And this is the initial point, that our God seeks our hearts and we seek He’s. Jesus Christ taught us to pray, and using the example of the “Our Father” he puts us in the place of children before their Father to whom to share their lives. God answers in many ways. The Holy Spirit talks to the soul, to the mind, to the human spirit. We can receive signs that we have requested, things that happen in our lives, hear the voice of God inside us, through dreams, audibly, or through the Bible. The question is do we have that relationship with God, and do we take advantage of it every day. It is a true privilege to be able to talk to God; let us not waste it. Don’t forget to battle against your flesh every day and reserve several moments to pray. It will change your life for ever. Paul and James say: “The effective prayer of the righteous avails much”, James 5:16. “Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. In the name of Jesus Christ – Yahshua. Amen! WHO IS A BORN AGAIN? WHAT IS TO BE BORN AGAIN? – A born again is any person who is a true disciple of Jesus Christ – Yahshua. Therefore, to be born again of the Holy Spirit, John 3, refers to the process lived by any who receives and adopts the Message of Jesus Christ, the Gospel, and lives put in it into practice. This includes, believing in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, that He came to the world to save us from eternal death, set us free of sin (we are all sinners and have lived before according to our will), but through the grace of God we have believed, received the faith which saves us: that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and went again up to the throne of glory next to the Father, once He fulfilled, in our place the Law of God, just and holy, that we cannot fulfil, because He lived a perfect life in obedience to the Father. From this point, Jesus Christ has promised that He would send the Holy Spirit to live inside of us, John 16; Acts 2. And this is the privilege of those who repent (change of mind) and give their lives to Christ so that He will govern it with His Holy Spirit. Do you want to give your life to Christ now? Do you want to know Him and fully trust Him and that He saves your soul for eternal life in His paradise? 40 DAYS OF LENT – PRAY FOR MUSLIMS IN RAMADAM AND FOR ISRAEL IN PASSOVER? Our Lord Jesus Christ – Yahshua has left us a legacy from which to learn, a series of actions at that first lent that He lived with His apostles. What did Jesus do then, and what did He take the apostles to do? He preached to all, Jews, Samaritans, Gentiles, and to all that were in His area of ministry, and prepared the twelve apostles, the seventy, to initiate the Great Commission. The Church is heir of that ministry to the nations. Now, the custom to go to the Passover was to purify before; John 11:55. Jesus was anointed Betania with a pound of pure very costly spikenard, his feet dried with the hair of Mary; John 12:3, and Jesus spoke of the preparation for His sepulchre, and left a phrase that embarrasses all: “For the poor you have with you always…” John 12:8. The first Palm Sunday, His triumphal entrance in Jerusalem, ¡Hosanna! ¡Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, the king of Israel! Vs. 13, and rode on the young donkey fulfilling the prophecy from Zachariah 9:9. Announced His death vss. 27-36. Washed the feet of His disciples; John 13, teaching the humbleness that we must have, being that He is the Lord did that, how could we not do it. The New Commandment of loving one another like He has loved us; 13:31. “I am the Way to the Father” John 14:1-14. And the promise of the Holy Spirit. The true vine; the warning that the world will hate us for being His, in John 15. The work of the Holy Spirit, the sorrow will be turned into joy, and Jesus has conquered the world, in John 16. The prayer for Himself and for the Church, in John 17. His arrest in the orchard of Gethsemane, taken before the Sanhedrin, before Pilate; John 18. The crucifixion of Jesus, His side pierced, His burial; John 19. God is revealing Himself to many Muslims in Christ, according to their own testimonies, for they are in places where the persecution is deadly to anyone who shows a faith different to the one of countries with a totalitarian regime who impose the Islamic Law, even in their constitution. Prayer for them so they may know God’s truth, and the salvation in Christ is a powerful way of bringing the Gospel to their lives. In the same way, many Jews have grown up under a false teaching which rejects Jesus as the true Messiah, although the Old Testament clearly exposes all that was fulfilled in Jesus, like Isaiah 53 or Plasm 22, also is a way of bringing the Gospel if we pray for the people of Israel, for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the Messianic Jews who have already received Christ as their Lord and saviour, as the Messiah that was to come and are preaching it to their people. Again, the Great Commission, is to all nations; Matthew 28:16-20. Have you prepared yourself, sanctified, purified, these days of Lent, to pray and share the Gospel with all the nations, for there are many immigrants around you from other cultures? CAN YOU LOSE YOUR SALVATION? DOES THE WAY OF THE CROSS HAVE THE ANSWER? The doctrine of Eternal Security of Salvation argues that, according to Scripture, God’s grace grants us the faith to be saved, and if God gives us that present, He has chosen us by grace and cannot let us be lost. This is the Reformed view, which Calvinism defends. On the other side we find Arminianism, which defends the doctrine of Free Will, which permits man to reject the grace of God, and therefore the faith, which leaves him to depend on himself; that gives no guarantee, instead, knowing human sinfulness, it will take him to be lost. However, the grace of God is irresistible, this concept is defended by the Reformed doctrine. A person is saved when he believes in the work of Christ as needed to pay for his sins, as the way of salvation that God has provided, which is being offered to us. If the person repents -change of mind- and accepts, receives Christ, and it needs the Holy Spirit in  the inside, Who, according to the teaching of Jesus, will give us the strength to keep us in Christ, and in spiritual growth and sanctification (to separate from the sin of the world, Roman 8:26), and He will not leave us from His hand (John 10:27-30). What do you think is correct? The Way of the Cross reminds us of the high price of our salvation. Don’t you think the suffering and the sacrifice of Christ are as powerful that he who truly receives His Lord as Saviour, receives an interior strength to love God first, and to not want to sin, even though he sometimes sins but repents? To go deeper about this important doctrine, you may read these Bible Studies: https://www.yahshua.net/Etrenal-Security.htmhttps://www.yahshua.net/salvation/https://www.yahshua.net/Way-Of-The-Cross.htm

WHAT’S HAPPENING TO ME? IS IT PERSECUTION OR PUNISHMENT? We know that the Christian, the Church in general, is persecuted for sake of the name of Jesus and for preaching His work of salvation, Acts 8:1, for the justice, and Jesus says “Blessed”, Matthew 5:10, 13:21, Romans 8:35. In Mark 10:30 it tells us of the blessings that God gives to the Christians for seeking first the Kingdom of God and its justice, but that they come with persecutions. We also know that God, He chastens, Hebrews 12. The punishment as such, comes for disobeying God, case of Adam, Genesis 4:12, and to all who do evil, Romans 13:4. But a Text I think clarifies the difference is Revelation 3:19-22, in the message to the Church of the Laodiceans: “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes, I will grant to sit with Me on My throne…” This Text has a cause, and it is the lukewarm behaviour of that Church, and for believing its rich, being poor. He talks spiritually to that type of Christianity, and it is a complete wakeup call to repentance for those who live the faith like that, being chastened by God, those who are loved by Him, so they are not lost. Therefore, if you are living a life of faith, serving the Lord, giving testimony of the faith through the Gospel and doing good deeds, and suffer persecution, you are blessed. If you are living a lukewarm life and don’t share your faith, nor do anything for your neighbour and suffer discipline and chasten, God loves you and seeks that you are not lost. WHEN TO FIGHT FOR SOMETHING OF IS IT THE WILL OF GOD? Jesus prayed to the Father in the orchard of Gethsemani before the crucifixion: “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me, nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” Matthew 26:39. Was there any option for us to be saved without fulfilling all justice of God, which required the payment for our sins in a definitive and holy way, through the only blood that could do it? The answer is no. Jesus chose the cross before freeing Himself from the suffering, because that would have left us without salvation, just and complete. Jesus did not fight to free Himself, but He did the will of the Father, although for that He had to suffer the cross. He made reality the part of “Our Father”: “Your will be done…” We many times fight for things that we cannot value in its ultimate consequence. Someone’s love, financial prosperity with another job or business, another ministry in the Church. The experience of Gedeon can help us seek the will of God. Gedeon went to fight the Midianites and the Amalekites who served Baal, he requested God a sigh with a fleece of wool that it was to remain dry in the morning dew. The next day, the fleece to remain wet and the field dry. Judges 6:36-40. We too can ask God for signs, pray, fast, read the Bible, ask advice to brethren in Christ, and finally do in faith that we are doing the will that God shows us, if we walk before God with a heart towards Him. DO WE HAVE FREE WILL OR ARE WE PREDESTINED? It all began in Eden, when Adam and Eve eat of the fruit of the tree of the science of good and evil, of which God had told Adam not to eat. Adam and Eve had the possibility of choosing to obey God, or not to, Genesis 2:9-17 and Chap. 3. This we could call free will. But the truth is that free will or man’s predestination is not about this, but if salvation is chosen by man, if he has the free will to chose to be saved, to accept the salvation plan of God, or if, on the contrary, is God who choses, those who are saved. This is what this doctrine deals with. But in society conversations don’t go that way, but they focus in whether what we do has been predestined by God or not, daily things, like choosing a way instead of another and its consequences. About our destiny of salvation, God has chosen some for salvation, Romans 8:29-39, and at the same time He has commanded us to fulfil the Great Commission of making disciples through preaching the Gospel, Matthew 28:16-20. Salvation needs of the Saviour, of the work of Christ; we cannot be saved without the Cross of Christ. At the same time, God gives us the free will to love Him, or not, to do what is right, or not, and to obey God’s Commandments, or not, we have moral freedom, although man has chosen to eat of the tree of the science of good and evil to judge by himself, but God has provided a solution in Christ, the reconciliation with God for all who believe in Him. However, God has the control of the destiny of humanity, and our free will has the logical limitations of our circumstances, time, and society in which we live. Therefore, yes, we do have free will to chose and suffer the consequences, but God has chosen some for salvation and to the rest He gives the opportunity through preaching, and wants that all are saved, but not all want, and He does not oblige. To go deeper on the matters of predestination and free will, you may read the Bible Studies: https://www.yahshua.net/doctrine.htm#BIBLE__DOCTRINE

WHY DID THE WISE MEN COME TO ADORE YAHSHUA – BABY JESUS? The question is not if they came, nor that they came to adore Baby Jesus, whom according to them was the King of the Jews, but why, its importance, the prophecy, the sign of the star, and that they, the Wise men from Persia were coming to adore Him. The concept Wise “from the Persian magi” was associated in the old times to wise and was referred to important counsellors whom governors of the world would have for consultation and who were in the palaces. When the Jews were taken captive to Babylon, their faith and history was mixed with the Persian history and culture. The wise and students of that part of the world, which may be Jews of the diaspora, as well as Gentiles (there are defenders of both options) represent that those who come from the world, from the Gentiles, from the non-Jew life, were coming to “adore” the King of the Jews. For a Jew to adore a baby would be impossible because it is contrary to God’s Law, but that Baby was not just a man, He was God made man, and they knew the Bible Prophecies: Isaiah 9:6 – 42:6-9; Micah 5:2, about Matthew 2, and Luke 2. Jesus was coming to this world as the “Light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and glory of Your people Israel.” Luke 2:32. The Magi came as the retinue of both origins, because the king of Judea, Herod, and the wise and priests rejected the Messiah which was sent to them. The Magi represent all of us who receive Jesus as the Messiah, Saviour, and Lord. THE DIVINITY OF JESUS CHRIST – YASHUA / IS YASHUA – JESUS CHRIST, GOD? Jesus said: “I and the Father, are one” John 10:30. The Divinity of Jesus Christ is fundamental in Christian Biblical Theology. In the canonical Gospels we find the eternity and the divinity of the Son of God, but it is the Trinity which unites the concepts of monotheism with three Persons in the Deity, whose name was revealed to us with the letters YHWH. But John continues to provide key revelation, such as the Word, referring to the Father and to the Son, being God became flesh and dwelt among us; John 1:14. In this Christmas Bible Study we will see that Jesus is God made man, not a man who was made God, John 16:25-33. https://www.yahshua.net/the-divinity-of-jesus-christ-yahshua/

IS HEAVEN REAL AND ETERNAL? The Gospel or “Good News” tells us that the Salvation of God has as objective that the believers in the work of Christ on the Cross to pay for our sins, may live eternally in God’s paradise, which many identify with Heaven. Now, one should ask if God lives in Heaven, but the Bible tells us that we will live next to Him for eternity, if the place where we are called to live eternally in Heaven or a new earth. In Revelation we are told of a “New Heaven and a New Earth” Chap. 21. Also, the apostle Peter tells us of “New Heavens and New Earth, in which righteousness dwells”, 2 Peter 3:13. The apostle Paul tell us of being caught up, also known as the “rapture” of the Church, the disciples of Christ who live when Jesus Christ returns in His “Second Coming” to set up the Kingdom of God, in 2 Thessalonians 4:17. Jesus Christ raised and was seen after His death by crucifixion by 500 brethren at the same time, and was caught “up” to Heaven. The angels live in Heave. Many have had experiences outside their body have returned, telling what they lived, including may atheists, sceptics, so called themselves scientists, that once they live it, they can only talk about it. Heaven is the centre of the Message, the Kingdom of Heaven or Kingdom of God. Heaven is real, it exists today and for eternity, but some don’t want to see it with the eyes of the soul, or of the spirit, or of the heart. To go deeper about Heaven, you may read the Bible Study: https://www.yahshua.net/gospel.htm

IS HELL REAL AND ETERNAL? There are many who believers that, not only question the existence of hell as a real place, but they also think that a good God cannot condemn anybody to a place of punishment for eternity. Many are also who have searched for an intermediate solution in a place that is not found in the canonical Bible, not mentioned by Jesus Christ – Yahshua, nor by the apostles, nor by the prophets: the purgatory. The doctrine of the purgatory was introduced in the XIII century at the II Council of Lyon and confirmed at the VI of Trento in 1547 as an intermediate place of purification to then go to Heaven. Jesus Christ has been very clear in His Doctrine from the parable of the Rich and Lazarus, in Luke 16:19-31. Also, Jesus would tell the religious hypocrites: “Serpentes, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? Matthew 23:33. Or; And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28. Or; “And come forth those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.” John 5:29. This takes us to another related matter; all will be resurrected, whether they go to heaven or to hell. The power of Christ on the Cross applies the resurrection to all flesh for the judgment or for paradise. Hell is real and eternal, and many deserve it, but God is the judge just and holy, and only He can condemn, or save in Christ, for only He knows our hearts, our faith, and our fruits. “There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1. To go deeper on how hell is the consequence of sin, you may read the Bible Study: https://www.yahshua.net/prophecy.htm

HOW TO SAVE MY SOUL? The good news is that if you are asking this question, you are already in the good way. The answer is that man cannot earn his own salvation of his soul by his religion or nor by his good works, due to the fact that God has a perfect justice and we cannot reach His holiness nor His perfetion. But God also loves us, even though we are sinners, so He has provided His salvation through Himself by becoming a man a dying on the Cross of Calvary. Jesus Christ – Yahshua – Yeshua is the “Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). God asks that we accept His perfect sacrifice to fulfil His perfect justice, that we believe in Him and accept Him. Therefore, we cannot earth our own salvation, but God can do it if we trust Him and keep His Commands. The Bible says: “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12. https://www.yahshua.net/salvation/ – https://www.yahshua.net/Etrenal-Security.htm

LORD! I CANNOT CARRY MY OWN CROSS, HELP ME! Sometimes we want to carry or help to carry other’s cross but cannot carry our own. When the Lord Jesus would preach, He taught the disciples: “He who does not take his cross and follow after Me cannot be my disciple.” Matthew 10:38 – Luke 14:27. And also: “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:24. But maybe the more relevant is Luke 9:23 with regard to when and how many times one should take his cross: “ …take his cross every day and follow Me.” The Christian has been converted into a priest, and priesthood is intercession: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2. https://www.yahshua.net/doctrine.htm – We then have the case of Simon of Cyrene, obliged to carry the Cross of Christ, Matthew 27:32 – Mark 15:21. And the Cross of Christ that He only could carry in the complete sense, to die on it carrying the sin of the world on Him. Then, what is our cross, and why many are confused thinking it is adversities of life? Jesus gives us an answer, which is that it is a burden that we accept, that we take, chose for love of Christ and for love to our brethren in Christ. But He also invites us to come to Him when we are overloaded and cannot go further: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-29. WHICH IS THE TRUE CHURCH? What do I do if I am not well in my church, or if I think they do not follow the Word of God, or that its doctrines and teachings do not correspond to what Jesus taught? Many believers search for the true Church. Some come from the Catholic Church, others from different Evangelical denominations, others from religions that call themselves Christians, but are not. What should one do when your brethren and the leaders of your church don’t follow the doctrine of Christ in The Gospels, nor in the Epistles of the apostles in the New Testament? What does the Bible answer? Ephesians 4:1-16. The following Bible Study may guide you: https://www.yahshua.net/The-unity-of-the-Church.htm

HOW CAN I FIND THE PURPOSE OF MY LIFE? I know so many people who survive, but don’t live. I have studied the Bible and also philosophy to search for answers. The first gave light to my life; the second still cannot answer what is the meaning of life nor our purpose. Many believe that we are what we do, and that gives them some light, because if there is no purpose, or if we cannot find it that carries many to hopelessness, to question values and life itself, but the philosopher will continue searching for the answer. Christianity does have answers and teaches that those who become children of God (John 1:12) through being born again (John 3:3), are a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) and therefore knows who he is ever since. This answers to the question of, what is our purpose: to know God, as the principal. From there, the meaning of life emanates. Also, and because surely many want to know the purpose of their lives, one must talk to God, a life of prayer must be lived which is to talk to God in Christ through faith, read the Bible daily, always, and count with other brothers with whom to share and find the answer of God, who always talks in some way to the heart of the believer. Texts of how to find the will of God for oneself: Psalm 15; Mikka 6:6-8; Matthew 5:14-16; Luke 9:21-27; Romans 13:8-14; 2 Peter 1:3-9; 1 John 4:7-21. To go deeper about your purpose, I invite you to read this Bible Study: https://www.yahshua.net/philosophical-and-existential-questions-to-christianity/
